The USC Glorya Kaufman School of Dance invites applications for the Claude and Alfred Mann Professorship in Dance. This is a part-time position for an internationally acclaimed artist with expertise in Choreography, Composition, and/or Concert Dance. Selected artist will succeed multi-dimensional artist William Forsythe as holder of the Mann Professorship and will be expected to spend 6-12 weeks in residence at USC Kaufman each year. Initial appointment is for 3-5 years with possibility of renewal. USC Kaufman seeks a visionary, collaborative, dynamic and innovative thought-partner to provide instruction to students in the BFA in Dance program. Involvement may include but is not limited to teaching dance technique, choreography, repertory and performance, improvisation and composition, colloquium, senior seminar, as well as staging and/or creating work.
