Artist-Faculty in Studio Dance and Director of Ohio University’s Summer Dance Intensive

The Dance Division in the College of Fine Arts at Ohio University invites applicants for a full-time, non-tenure track Artist-Faculty in Studio Dance who will also receive an additional 10-month administrative contract to serve as the Director of Ohio University’s Summer Dance Intensive, with a focus on composition and modern/contemporary dance practice. We seek a dynamic dance maker and educator who will contribute to our expanding curricular program, and contribute to our core values in diversity and global engagement. Our program emphasizes compositional thinking as a practice of creativity, collaboration, and community.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver studio courses in choreography (beginning through advanced), modern and additional techniques and teach major and non-major studio courses. This individual will also participate in the delivery of lecture-based survey courses with integrated studio experiences in dance and will help supervise and coordinate Summer Dance Institute programming.

Participation in departmental concerts through performance, choreography or setting repertory on students is expected. Other duties include supervision of student work and participation in student recruitment, academic advisement, and fulfillment of other assigned departmental activities and responsibilities.
