Research in Dance and Movement (IDM) is an academic publication edited by the Department of Arts of the Movement of the National University of the Arts (Buenos Aires, Argentina). It offers a platform for building knowledge about dance and movement, opening a space for exchange and debate, particularly from and for Latin America. Created in 2019, its main objective is to promote and disseminate academic research in this area, both in its usual formats and in innovative perspectives in relation to artistic production and contemporary artistic manifestations.
The themes / perspectives suggested but not exclusive in relation to dance and movement are: history, theory, criticism, artistic creation / composition; relationship with other languages; new technologies; performance; corporality; pedagogy; management; curatorship
IDM is mainly aimed at researchers and professionals of dance and movement, as well as academics of the social and human sciences in general, who study themes related to art and studies on culture and society, focusing on the field of Dance and movement as an area of knowledge.
Articles in Spanish, Portuguese and English languages are received. In order to contribute to the circulation of published texts, abstracts and keywords must be written in at least two languages (one of which will be Spanish).
