Conversations - Submission Guidelines


Contributor guidelines:

Conversations Across the Field of Dance Studies is a peer-reviewed journal. Guest editor will submit all contributions to the Editorial board members for review. The contributor will then be asked to review within a limited amount of time and resubmit. Contributing authors must make all corrections in the copyediting stage.

Word format, double spaced, no headers/footers

Notes and bibliography should follow the Chicago Manual of Style, 15th ed. (author-date citation system). Please see the current issue.

Photographs should be submitted in digital form (best resolution possible 300 dpi minimum) and should be sent separately. Contributors must fill out the copyright forms for permission to use photographs/illustrations and submit them to the Guest editor. Please include the name of the photographer and a brief description of the image with a date.

Guest editor will submit the final proofs to the contributors before the publication.

Contributors must submit a short biography of maximum 250 words to accompany their contribution.

Authors published in Conversations Across the Field of Dance Studies have the right to republish their own work in whole or in part after two years. The republication must be followed by: This article was originally published in Conversations, Vol. (number)…

Each contributor will receive one copy of the issue.

Guest editor guidelines:

Guest editor must fully and carefully copyedit the issue.

Guest editor submits the completed materials with photos and copyright permissions (for authors using photographs/illustrations) to the Managing editor who serves as an intermediary with the designer.

Guest editor is solely responsible for the final version of Conversations.
